On Saturday (29.6.24), as environmental activists and NGO representatives from both sides of Cyprus, we came together for a study visit and round table discussion on coastline developments in Famagusta and İskele, organized by UNFICYP. I am happy and thankful to have been given the chance once again to talk about fostering community participation and eco-living strategies for Famagusta.

It was great to share our activist work, research, and insights with Serdar Atai, Nafia Akdeniz, Asuman Korukoğlu, Mertkan Hamit, and Berkay Ramiz, and to discuss possible collaborations with representatives from the south of Cyprus. I believe such synergies will lead to long-term collaboration for preserving our environment and building an ecological and peaceful coexistence together.

Special thanks to Maria and Mustafa from UNFICYP for such a meaningful organization. (*And also thanks to Serdar for the photos)-
