Yeniboğaziçi, first #Cittaslow of Cyprus is represented in International Assembly which is hosted by Netherlands between 18-22 June 2014. The municipality of Yeniboğaziçi is represented by Ali Kömürcügil (Cittaslow coordinator of the municipality) , Resmiye Alpart Atun (representative of Chambers of Architects) and Ceren Boğaç (representative of Department of Architecture EMU). The Assembly started in Vaals at the highest point in the Netherlands; which is 322 meters’, continued to Alphen-Chaam, which is a town with two protected Slowfood products: Chaamse pel (Chaamse grouse) and Kempisch heideschaap (Kempisch heath sheep); and ended in Schipluiden (municipality of Midden-Delfland), which is located below sea level. The lowest point is 3,5 meters below sea level.
During the assembly all the bodies of the association is renewed besides new President and the other positions within the Association were elected. Yeniboğaziçi also voted during the election as an official member of the association over 80 cities all over the world.
