Bergen/ NORWAY

One of the most inspiring competitions of my life!

Bergen International Wood Festival (BIWF) is focusing on structures made from wood, and the material’s constructive and molding qualities. As part of this focus a competition is arranged in experimental construction of spatial wooden structures. Designers, architects and artists from all over the world are invited to this grand competition in May in Bergen. Me and my two colleagues were participated the first of this competition.

In this project we tried to emphasis the passing time, rhythm of life and the flow. The whole project was an attempt to register the movement of time. It is a mind ripper! The structure is a mind-ship which encourages the visitor’s perception into realm of personal balance. While you observe the construction, it will let your mind go… from the horizon to the stars…
