We shall come together during the International Gazimagusa Symposium between the days of 12.4.2004 and 16.4.2004 in our Faculty. Tutors are going to be Dr. Yonca Hurol (“the philosopher”), M.Arch. Ceren Bogac (“the Utopian”) and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ustun Alsac (“the great”).

Our topics are going to cover (everything from philosophy to the to be applied techniques)

-What are Utopias and how they came to being?

-How can futuristic ideas be used to improve the physical environment?

-What kind of role can architects, urban designers, city planners, interior architects, structural engineers, landscape designers play in these matters ?

-What is the meaning of dreaming in architecture and how can it improve designs?

-How to create Utopian designs? What kind of materials and techniques can be used?

-And many more…

We are intending to play with ideas and extend our knowledge about the city we are living in. We want to enjoy by thinking and producing futuristic dreams, ideas, designs without the pressure of attendances and grades.

If you are interested in such an activity be ready for it. Think of questions to ask, propose discussion topics, suggest activities to be done or techniques that can be applied, prepare some material of your own to make a contribution, etc., etc…                    

        

12-16 Nisan 2004 tarihleri arasinda yapilacak olan Uluslararasi Gazimagusa Sempozyumu sirasinda Fakultemizden bir grup biraraya gelecek, sohbeti yonlendiriciler: Dr. Yonca Hurol (Filozof), M. Arch Ceren Bogac (Utopyaci) ve Prof. Dr. Ustun Alsac (muazzam) olacaktir!

Konularimiz -felsefeden uygulanacak tekniklere kadar- cesitli basliklardan olusacaktir:

-Utopya nedir ve nereden cikmistir?

-Futurist kavramlar fiziksel cevreyi gelistirmede nasil kullanilabilir?

Iste bizler bu gibi fikirlerle oynayarak icinde yasadigimiz kente iliskin bilgimizi genisletmeye niyetleniyoruz. Derslere devam veya notlar gibi baski unsurlan olmaksizin dusunmenin ve ucuk fikirler, ruyalar, tasarimlar uretmenin tadini cikarmayi hede-fliyoruz.
