I am sorry for posting in English but it is the only language I know. I hope you will be able to understand.
I read of your project on the BBC website. I would like to ask that when you design/build your eco-city that every house have the ability to grow enough fresh food to feed themselves and maybe some for neighbours. To accomplish this we do not need a lot of land because the gardens can be built up the vertical walls and across the roofs of each house so the whole exterior is a market garden.
I am interested in container gardening but these are merely attached to existing structures. You can design the support for the house to be the garden.
How can food be planted, and reaped safely from the face of a skyscraper? I don’t know but please consider it in your design, You can also see which plants will grow naturally on the north, south, east or west of the buildings. Which can use the heat generated by the building to survive winter.

Hi Cathy! Thank you so much for your comment. The ecocity project design and panel discussions will start on this thursday (16.01.14) and we don’t know where the project will lead us. I will keep you update later on and hopefully will find answer to all your questions.
